Honda's BF225 four-stroke outboard engine will be rated at 225 horsepower.



Slated for availability in early 2002, the Honda BF225 outboard will deliver 225-horsepower in an efficient, clean-running four-stroke package. The engine also will be offered in a 200- horsepower version.

According to press materials from Honda, the V-6 outboards will meet Environmental Protection Agency emissions standards for 2006. They reportedly will also meet CARB standard, which are more stringent than those of the EPA, for 2008.
